The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in the state of California he was 55 years old.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.
The renowned industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and all those touched by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts said.
