In mid-December, Adult Swim made a major announcement: Haha, You Clowns has been greenlit for a further two seasons. This offers creator Joe Cappa significant creative freedom to further explore the world of the Campbell family. The show centers on three respectful teenage brothers whose central trait is their profound affection for their single father, with Cappa portraying for all four main characters.

"I’m so grateful to the audience of the show who took a chance on the show and shared it with others," said Cappa. "I am overjoyed that I get to hang out at the Campbell household for the foreseeable future."

Accompanying the news praise from Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen, who called the series as "profoundly sincere and oddly captivating." He thanked the fans who discovered the show and advocated for its distinctly quirky appeal.

“We're stuck in a cycle of irony that we are trapped in,” said Cappa. “It's like we have to know we’re the cleverest viewer in the room when we're watching stuff. I feel like we've been doing this for too long, and we just have to laugh at something different now. It's time for comedy to grow.”
