Battlefield 6 BR Mode Launches Very Soon as a F2P Game Mode

Following quite some time of anticipation, the BR mode for Battlefield 6 is at last launching. Recent rumors suggesting its release would coincide with Season 1 were spot-on. Players can jump into the gameplay starting very soon.

Season 1 Bringing a Brand-New Arena, Game Type, and Arsenal

In tandem with the battle royale mode, Season 1 is also kicking off. This brings a new map, a fresh game type, and fresh guns. On top of that, this new sector is being introduced. An embedded teaser will be released at go-live, offering players a glimpse of what's to come.

Free-to-Play Access Makes the Mode Open to All

Perhaps the key news is that this new experience will be complimentary. In the vein of established games, you do not need to own the original Battlefield 6 to play. Several players have already tried alpha versions of the experience. Those playtests were held in Battlefield Labs, which the developers described as their biggest fan involvement initiative.

The adrenaline rush while fighting another squad is unique in any other BR game. It's like life or death, and you really mind if you live or perish.

Even though I considered myself a critic previously, I'm completely for the battle royale now that I've experienced it.

Such first impressions from players have been very positive. Of course, the experience may have evolved over the last couple of months in terms of game balance and speed. But, first impressions are promising that Redsec could be a genuine rival to popular titles. Players are hoping that the best guns from the main game will be available in the BR.
