Alexander Isak Robbers Instructed to Repay Only £1 Per Person from £1.2 Million Heists

Individuals of an Italy-based family of burglars who stole over £1.2 million worth of items, including from ex- NUFC striker Isak, have been ordered to return only £1 each.

Siblings Valentino Nikolov and Giacomo, their female sibling Jela Jovanovic and her son Charlie journeyed to the north-east of England to raid three houses in April 2024.

The group of four were jailed for from six and 10 years in May 2025.

At a proceeds of crime proceeding at the court, Jela and the Nikolov brothers were instructed to pay back £1 per person while Charlie Jovanovic must hand over over a thousand pounds.

Details of the Burglaries

The court was told the gang came by ferry in the United Kingdom on 27 March 2024 and used a RV as their "headquarters", which they stationed at a service area and Durham service stations while utilizing a separate vehicle to scout out targets and execute burglaries.

On 31 March they took more than £1m of items including designer clothing, handbags, jewellery and a honor from a residence on a street in Jesmond, Newcastle, while the owners were on holiday.

The following night, the crew entered a home on a private road in Whitburn, and took luxury bags, valuables and footwear worth more than £100,000.

Court Hearings and Rulings

Valentino had pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to burglary but was found guilty by jurors, while his three relations had all entered guilty pleas to the identical accusation.
